The Vancouver Giants remain the lone winless team on the road in the WHL.

The Giants fell to 0-6-0-0 away from the Pacific Coliseum Saturday night with a 3-2 loss to the host Victoria Royals.

Austin Carroll bagged the winner at the 13:27 mark of the third period. It was his second of the game and 10th of the season.

Four of Vancouver’s road losses have been by one goal.

Taylor Crunk, with his first of the campaign, added the other goal for Victoria (8-6-1-0 overall). Matt Bellerive, with his fourth, and Mason Geertsen, with his first, tallied for Vancouver (6-7-0-0).

The Giants are at home Wednesday to the Brandon Wheat Kings. The Giants will be missing forward Tyler Benson and defenceman Ryely McKinstry, who leave Wednesday morning for Sarnia, Ont., where they’ll take part in the World Under-17 Challenge from Nov. 2-8.
